Dupres Cottage
Coury Cottage is named in memory of 2nd Lt Gabriel George Coury VC, who was serving in the 1/4th South Lancashire Regiment, the pioneer battalion to the 55th West Lancashire Division, when he was awarded the VC for his gallantry on the 8th August 1916, in the area of Arrow Head Copse, just over a mile north of Chavasse Farm.
Basic information about Dupres Cottage
Dupres Cottage was created from the conversion and renovation of the old farm stables. It has been fully modernised but still retains an authentic character.
The cottage sleeps four guests in two upstairs twin bedrooms.
There is one television in the lounge which receives 200+ free to view UK channels via a FreeSat receiver.
There is a DVD player and numerous DVD's.
The farm has free Wi-Fi Internet throughout the whole property.
The lounge features a wood burning fire and wooden floors. The lounge has a TV and DVD the walls are decorated with Great War memorabilia.
There is a bookcase with a small library of ninety books covering mainly the Battle of the Somme and other Great War subjects.
The property is heated by under floor heating and a wood burner on the ground floor. There are additional electric wall heaters in the bedrooms and bathroom.
There is a fully equiped kitchen comprising gas hob, grill and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and a full range of pots, pans and utensils.
The dining area has seating for four.
There is a ground-floor bathroom comprising of a bath with an overhead shower, pedestal sink, toilet and large storage cupboard.
Outside you have your own patio with a BBQ area and plenty of off road parking.
