Chavasse House
Chavasse House is named in memory of Capt Noel Chavasse VC & Bar MC. While serving as the Medical Officer for the 1/10th Liverpool Scottish Battalion, 55th (West Lancashire) Division he was awarded his first VC, for his gallantry on the 9th August 1916, saving wounded men from no-mans-land. The action took place in the area between Arrow Head Copse and Guillemont, just over a mile north from Chavasse Farm and Hardecourt.
Basic information about Chavasse House
Chavasse House sleeps up to twelve guests in four large bedrooms.
There are two large double bedrooms on the ground floor.
There are two large bedrooms upstairs. One bedroom has a double and two single beds, and the other bedroom has four single beds with an extra washbasin.
Bedding is provided.


There is one television in the lounge which receives 200+ free to view UK channels via a FreeSat receiver.
There is a DVD player and numerous DVD's.
The farm has free Wi-Fi Internet throughout the whole property.
The lounge and dining room are traditionally furnished, with an open wood burning fire (wood is available to buy in the barn).
The lounge also has a library bookcase where you will find nearly one hundred books on the Great War.
There is a fully equipped kitchen, gas hob and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster and a full range of pots, pans, plates and utensils.
There are two large bathrooms. One downstairs consisting of a sink and a bath with an overhead shower and a separate toilet. The upstairs bathroom consists of a sink, stand in shower and toilet (towels are not provided but can be ordered at extra cost).
The property has oil central heating throughout which is easily regulated by a thermostat.
Outside you have a private garden, BBQ and plenty of off road parking.
In the barn/store is an extra freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Chavasse House, Self Catering Tariff
The total tariff is calculated at £28 per adult guest per night (adult age 16+) with a minimum stay of 3 nights and a minimum 6 guest nightly tariff (£168). Please fill in the enquiry form so we can provide you with an accurate quote.
Infants age 2 and under are free of charge, children age 3 to 15 are charged £18 per night.
Pets, a one off tariff of £25 is charged per dog.
